Custom Cadillac
1946 Cadillac Series 62 four door sedan body.
2018 Mustang 5L V8 chassis, engine and interior.
Altered the 62 Sedan from 2 in to a 4 door.
With roof chopped 5″ (25cm) at the front
Major Fab Lab body alterations (way too many to list!)
OCD supplied air-ride setup
- The beginings of the Cadillac build, raw and untouched.
- A crashed 2018 Mustang that the previous owner had barely run a tank of fuel through before totalling it!
- Drivetrain stripped out of the Mustang
- Front end of the Mustang mated with the rear end of the Cadi, with a custom prop shaft to account for the sheer length of the Cadi
- The top of the Cadillac chopped of to drop the roof-line and make a few… adjustments. Bracing added to keep the bodywork true.
- Cadi body sat on top of the chassis
- A few minor(!) adjustments to the lines of the Cadi, sitting nicely on top of the Mustang drivetrain. Air ride by OCD allows her to sit right down in the arches.
- Interior coming together, custom transmission tunnel, floor-pan, seat backs. Note how much length added to the front doors to convert from a 4-door to 2-door
- Sitting nice and low all over. Body panels beaten and tacked in place.
- Jo welding the seams on the rear of the car.
-
On. It’s. Arse.
Photos stuck to the rear quarter for inspiration.
-
View from the rear seats. All the dash elements from the Mustang need to be encorporated to the Cadi. Pedal box is mounted too.
From this angle you can appreciate how much height has been removed when looking at the height of the windscreen.
- In primer, almost ready for paint. Monochrome photo for moodiness.
- Out in the wild!
